After hours (before 6:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends and holidays), 35 East Wacker Drive operates as a closed building.
This means tenants and guests must comply with one of the methods listed below to obtain access to the building:
Building Key Fob/ID Card
The building is accessible to tenants by use of an electronic security system. A key fob/ID card will provide entrance into the building based on the access given to the individual by their employer. Some individuals may not be provided 24/7 access by their employer and will not be allowed into the building during hours which they have not been granted access. Please see Key Fobs/ID Cards for details on obtaining a building key fob/ID card.
After hours, tenants may access the building using their building key fob/ID card at the proximity card reader located to the left of the ADA Accessible door at the main lobby entrance on Wacker Drive.
Once in the building, tenants will need to use their building key fob/ID card at one of the designed elevators with card reader access to gain entry to the tenant’s floor. It is not necessary to use an ID card in the elevators to return to the lobby or exit the building.
Visitor After Hours Access Request
If a tenant expects after hours guests, vendors, and/or employees without 24/7 access, please submit the required guest information to the Property Management Office in writing on company letterhead and signed by an authorized tenant contact. The completed form or letter should contain the names of the individuals and the date/times during which they are to be admitted to the building. Please submit all after-hours access requests to the Property Management Office by 4:00 p.m. the day prior to requiring access and by 2:00 p.m. Friday for any weekend activities.
If an individual attempting to enter the building does not possess a valid building key fob/ID card or is not listed on a Tenant After Hours Access-Request, the individual will only be admitted upon verbal approval from one of the after-hours tenant contacts. If verbal approval cannot be obtained, e.g., no emergency contact can be reached, or if they refuse to provide the approval, the individual will not be permitted entry.
Employees, guests or vendors needing after-hours access to a tenant suite must have keys to the space or a tenant representative to physically accompany them.
In all circumstances, we request that all tenants and guests sign in by name and record the time and destination at the lobby security desk. Security will also request that tenants and guests sign out as they exit the building. In the event of an emergency, this information is critical to ensure emergency respondents are aware of occupants in the building after hours.
